After eating at so many fine dining restaurants it was nice to just sit down and eat a burger with some chips. The owner (French) and his partner (American) were lovely to deal. The food was a little bit slow to come out but it was worth the wait - yummy.The menu is only small and unfortunately on the night we called in, they did not have any chicken available. Reasonably priced. Parking close by.Good luck with the pending baby arrival.
After so much haute cusine in the Loire sometimes you just want a great burger and a cold beer, for this Hardwood is a must visit. The French/American couple that run the place are super cool and totally dedicated to giving you a great meal...while you are there. The service and food offers a great fusion of two cultures in a super cute town. Merci!
My husband I visited on a warm August evening sat on the lovely terrace with views of the pretty square by the town hall. Everything was perfect, friendly service really, really good food. Beef burger chicken burger were top quality ...coleslaw chips were homemade delicious. Simple, top quality a change from eating in French restaurants every night
really nice evening in the holzburger bar sitting outside on a beautiful place. excellent burgers with delicious homemade rolls and real fresh frits. so good, my son insisted on having a second! we were made to feel really welcome and also had a few laughs with the owner. in any case recommend. it was raised early, but you were allowed to take a place and wait until it was opened. burgers had of all and they were all delicious. the child menu was excellent. service super. recommend the chorizo burger.
we had a pick-up order (as we only went through) from this restaurant and the burgers were absolutely amazing. simply delicious. the service was very friendly and very fast. highly recommended.
Delicious legit burgers! Great variety and great service! So glad we found this on our trip! They even have Dr Pepper and Napa wines: Their habanero sauces may be the spiciest food in France:

Such delicious burgers and amazing service! Best onion rings I’ve had yet. We tried the beef and chicken burgers and both were fantastic. Definitely give Hardwood a try!
