I had steak ale pie, and my wife had hunter's chicken. The food was absolutely amazing, the best steak ale pie i've ever had. The crust was just perfect, and I could really taste the ale. The mash potato was really lovely, and green veg on the side. My wife reports the hunter's chicken was delicious, and I can confirm as she let me try a bit of chicken. We finished with the 3 scoop ice cream with chocolate sauce, and for drinks Guinness and earl grey tea. The staff are very friendly and relaxed, and made us feel at home. This is now our favourite pub, will definitely be going again for another romantic evening and good food.

Lovley friendly lady behind the bar very obliging .food was nice shame this pub was empty on a tuesday lunchtime .i shall be returning in the new year thankyou .it was a very clean pub
We had a lovely meal, basic but delicious, lovely friendly service, lovely and clean, great garden area and dog friendly. 2nd visit and not been dissappointed either time

Served by Abby, proper class behind the bar, great banter. Food is lush and service is top. Highly recommend
