Harold Seltzer's Steakhouse

After being a little hesitant due the the reviews, me and the wife decided to give Harold Seltzers a shot today (Sunday 10/15) anyways since she wanted steak. For appetizers, my wife got the clam chowder and I got French onion soup. The broth in the chowder could have been thicker but the taste was spot on. Extremely tender clams. I am very picky about French onion soup but I will have to say that this one, was the 2nd best I 've had in Florida so far. I wonder if it had or missing the shot of alcohol (let me know if I have to ask for it)? The homemade rolls are huge and delicious. So we’re in from NY for a long weekend and we were looking for a nice Restaurant that wouldn’t break the bank . I came across this steakhouse and looked at the reviews and I was on the fence to go there . As we pulled up from the outside the place looks nice , we went in and the inside looks nice so I said to my wife that I’m feeling good about this place and from than on our experience was GREAT . Our waiter was Mars yes that’s his name Mars came over to greet us and get us drinks . And we could tell at that time that we had a good waiter . We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. It has always been one of our favorites. Tonight, the food was tasteless. We ordered 3 prime rib dinners. Two were the 1/2 lb and 1 was the 1 lb. The 1/2 lb ribs were about 1/4 the size of the 1 lb. No flavor and neither were cooked as requested. The med rare was raw and the med well was well. I had an email for my birthday that entitled me to a bottle of house wine. They were out of any type of blush wine. They had no italian dressing for the salad. We were served by Dylan and he truly enhanced our dining experience. It was one of the best we've had in a while and we will definitely return. We dined for dinner and spent over $100 per person. The food was rated 4 out of 5, service was exceptional with a rating of 5, and the atmosphere was a 4.
