Had a great birthday meal! My starter was the brie red onion filo basket and my husband had the smoked haddock fishcakes, both were delicious and the presentation was great. We both had the slow roasted belly pork, with mashed potato and seasonal vegetables with an onion gravy. The pork had great crackling .The pork was soft and the mashed potato was one of the best that we've had. We both had the selection of home made ice creams for dessert. It was just fab! I moved to Barton last year and discovered Harrison's after my original reservation fell through. I'm so glad I did, as I've returned many times since. I dined there last night and, as always, it did not disappoint. My partner and I started with the Scotch egg, and for our mains, he had the brisket and I ordered the chicken stroganoff. The brisket was delicious, although I could have used a bit more sauce. Don’t be fooled by the appearance of the stroganoff—it may look small, but with the side of veggies, I couldn’t even manage dessert! We decided to have an impromptu date night on a Thursday, and the meal was fantastic as always. The waitress was lovely. Despite the cold temperatures in the room, both she and the waiter provided impeccable service without ever letting on that they were uncomfortable. The waitress noticed I was cold and graciously moved me closer to the heat source when a table became available, all without me having to ask. The rhubarb gin and black cherry with acidic grapes were delicious. Thank you for making our evening beautiful! However, it would be great to have some sort of heating for the waitstaff. I want to see them comfortable enough to continue providing their warm, professional service.

Staff night out at Harrisons last night. All 8 of us had the special 2 courses and a bottle of wine for 2 people £30 Well worth the money, infant I thought it was under priced for the quality of the food. Table for 4 Friday night and as ever, excellent food and service. Would recommend to anyone to give it a try. Well worth it!
