The Hartenthaler serves traditional German cuisine such as schnitzel, Kasespatzle, Sauerbraten, and of course Apfelstrudel. Overall the food was good and cooked to order. If you arrive closer to closing time, it's not guaranteed that the items listed on the daily changing menu specials may not be available. Several times a couple people from our group ordered the same thing but one person ended up having to make a different choice because they had run out for the day. I was there with a large group of K9 handlers during the late week and weekend. I believe they only pre-prep a certain amount of menu items and when they are gone then that's it.There was plenty of seating indoors and several tables outside on the patio. There seemed to only be two servers during our meal times and both of them would take orders from our table but at different times. At times the service was slow but that was usually between when we ordered and the food was brought out. On one night one of the waitresses forgot an order completely for someone in our party. Overall, we enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the food tasted great. I just wish there was a little more communication between the hotel staff and restaurant especially when there are larger groups (35+) that are using both businesses. Apparently there is some disagreements between the two. This may help with making sure enough food is pre-prepped and an additional person can help with waiting on the tables.
