Harvest Store Cafe

This restaurant offers excellent coffee and a wonderful atmosphere. There are numerous vegan options available. I particularly enjoy the chili fries without cheese or sour cream, topped with avocado. They also serve a variety of vegan wraps. Every Friday, they have an abundance of vegan donuts; I just wish they were available daily or on weekends since I can never make it during the week. However, they do have vegan granola bars and date squares available every day. This review has been updated since my previous reviews on May 26, 2017, and April 28, 2021.

This is a lovely restaurant with friendly staff and some great vegan options. However, there seemed to be quite a bit of confusion regarding what qualifies as vegan. We ordered a vegan hot chocolate but ended up with one that contained milk. I was advised to order the chili fries without cheese to make them vegan, which I did. When they arrived, I noticed what I believed to be Daiya cheese, and it made me question why I was told to order them without cheese in the first place. It appears that it's important to double-check everything when ordering.

This is a really cute shop with friendly staff and some solid vegan options. But there seemed to be a lot of confusion around what is vegan. We ordered a vegan hot chocolate and were given a hot chocolate that contained dairy. I was told to order the chili fries without cheese to make it vegan, which I did. It arrived with cheese, which I was then told was Daiya, which left me confused as to why I was instructed to order it without cheese. So it seems like you have to double check everything.

There are only two vegan options for breakfast and lunch at this restaurant. I tried the vegan benny, but it took quite a while to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold. The flavor was really good, but unfortunately, it wasn't warm enough to fully enjoy.

Three different vegan milks to choose from (oat, almond, soy). One vegan muffin (banana on the day I was there). Coffee and muffin were delicious. I didn’t have a meal.
