Visited The Harvester Wych Way for lunch yesterday after an absence of a few years. (pre Pandemic) I swore never to return after a bad experience with a jacket potato that tasted a few days old and had a completely black skin. It had been replaced with one exactly the same and the manager had not been forthcoming with a refund and had a very bad attitude. Having spent over 20 years in hospitality I know how things should be and I have to say that my faith has now been restored after yesterdays experience. Our waitress was Fiona and she assured me that the jacket potatoes were up to scratch. She was so friendly and pleasant and my daughter and I had a lovely lunch. We both chose the 2 course...
I took my daughter to lunch, my daughter is a very poorly young lady, and has wrote a bucket list, on that list is to eat a meal out and then do a runner without paying she really is a good girl most of the time), I snook off and spoke with a waitress, explaining my daughters bucket list, and tried to pay on the quiet, to my surprise she said I didn’t have to pay anything, the meal was free, of corse I cried, that lovely lady has made both mine and my daughters day so special, I was so touched by her kindness but stupidly didn’t ask her name, I hope she reads this and knows how grateful I am to her for helping my daughter tick one more thing of her list. Thank you so much.x
Our anniversary meal was ruined at this restaurant. We had booked through Groupon and were shown to our table by a friendly man. However, when the waitress came over and loudly announced the Groupon menus, we felt embarrassed. When we finished our meal, she again loudly asked if we wanted the Groupon menu, prompting me to explain that we had chosen the deal due to financial reasons. The waitress apologized and walked away. Feeling uncomfortable, we decided to skip dessert. The supervisor later approached us, claiming that I had upset the waitress, despite my polite manner. In the end, we received a discount on our drinks.
I was pleasantly surprised by the limited-time offer of a £5.99 breakfast at this restaurant today. I ordered one vegan breakfast and one regular breakfast, both of which were presented on beautiful plates and served piping hot. The food was really tasty and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The restaurant also had clean toilets and the staff were pleasant, helpful, and friendly. This was our second visit in three weeks, and we also enjoyed a lovely lunch here recently. Overall, it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Thank you to the restaurant, and I look forward to returning soon. Highly recommended.

My sister and myself went to the Harvester for lunch last Friday. It wasn't too busy in there. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely place to have a catch up you know how some places pack the tables in, so you feel like you are having a conversation with the people sat on the next table or it feels rude not to introduce yourself?! LOL! We didn't feel rushed at all! We didn't book a table but it's probably best to if you are going on a weekend as I would imagine they get busy. We will definitely be back.
We’re we’re seated quickly by Maxine, who offered a table suitable for being with older people, which was very thoughtful of her. Fiona was serving us and very prompt with the menus and getting drinks. She was attentive, checking in when we were ready to order and once our food arrived. The food arrived quickly and was hot, and good sized portions. There was an offer on to make the food good value for money, saving us £30 off the bill. Overall an enjoyable meal and friendly staff who went the extra mile
We stopped off on our journey up north to stay at a nearby hotel. We decided to eat in the Harvester, food was okay, but the service by our waitress Sharon was excellent. Friendly and helpful, always with a smile, she made our visit really enjoyable, and helped steer us through the menu.
We used the Wych Way Inn for two consecutive evening with a large (approx 40) group. The food was great and the team worked tirelessly to ensure that we had an enjoyable evening. Highly recommended.

I absolutely adore the harvester salad, it's always a great deal. I tried the burger and it was delicious. This restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Terrible service. Few staff so horrendous waits for average food. Putting low staff costs ahead of customer service. Best avoided.
