Harvester The Amesbury Archer

We have dined at Harvester several times before, including this location in Amesbury. Unfortunately, this visit may have been our last. The food quality was poor, and the service was slow. It no longer felt like good value for money. The Mac n cheese lacked sauce and was just overcooked pasta with melted cheese on top. The kids' chicken strips were small, chewy, and dry, with the smallest piece being only 1cm long. My wife's steak was burnt on the outside and tough on the inside. My brie and tomato tart was soggy and undercooked. The drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive at our table, even though they were sitting on the bar for 10 minutes. On our way back, we opted for Pizza Hut instead, which was a completely different experience. Fast service, delicious Mac n cheese, and perfectly cooked pizza. I would recommend going to Pizza Hut over Harvester in Amesbury.

The restaurant is cozy and pleasant, with delicious food that we both enjoyed. Our experience was enhanced by Ellie, who provided friendly and efficient service with a smile. The restaurant has vegetarian options available, although I cannot comment on their quality as I am not a vegetarian. Families seemed to be enjoying their meals throughout the restaurant, indicating a kid-friendly atmosphere. Thank you for the wonderful service, Ellie!

We seemed to wait ages at the reception desk, and the same at the table. When we did get served, the food was reasonable, and service from Beth was good. We had the tapas to start with, then chicken for the wife and I had chicken and ribs.

We visited twice while staying in the area, and you can see why its got such a good rating. Food was excellent, comfortable surroundings, and excellent staff. could not fault in any why,
