You are high here so you can get a better overview of the Domplatz. We wanted to sit outside: the landlord warned us that it could rain – and he did, but he helped us to the terrace that is half outside, but with glass panels to keep the wind and the rain. We ordered the mixed starter, followed by Tortellini and Tagliatelle. We were advised not to take a side salad as the common mixed starter was large – and so it turned out. We traveled through Wetzlar and were surprised to find a summer night with live music at Domplatz. There was a free table in the main guard so we decided to have a late meal there. Good place to sit outside and see how the sun goes down. at the top of an open square in the old town with a great view of the historic buildings and the cathedral facing very picturesque. Food was acceptable, although would not win prizes and not try! Relaxing atmosphere, friendly service and inexpensive.

great conclusion to a beautiful sightseeing trip around the old town. Sitting outside in the sun watching the world, enjoying a good glass of wine and delicious flame cake

Good food ,very good wine.I realy enjoyed the time I spended at Hauptwache ,it is also a perfect location with the best view to the DOM
