If you happen to be in Recklinghausen during May/June, you may not know that it 's the season for White Asparagus know as Spargel ! Germans love white asparagus for a reason. It 's been called the 'vegetable of kings or 'white gold. ' This restaurant offers Spargel with a variety of sides including a veal schnitzel that was to die for. The service was great and the host and server were very kind. If this restaurant was in North America there would be people lining up to get in.

We really liked this cozy place with owners welcoming and chatting with the locals. We had something small to eat; eg a salad that tasted very good. But it was supposed to have fruit in it and I counted to three pieces, which was too little. The house wine was fine too. But we didn’t like to pay for a glass of tap water...

We were very surprised in inovative and fantastic menue. All side dishes and deserts are perfect and tasty Wild season is now and you have several meal on the menue. Great hospitallity from Frano the owner and his son Peter. Highlly recommended!
