We were visiting Zurich for the new years weekend from London and were excited to dine here on a Friday (at 5:45pm, without reservation). We were offered a table for two in the middle of the restaurant on the second floor. We requested if the table could be moved near the windows; but were told unfortunately that they had reservations for the duration of our dinner. We noted that there quite a few tables near the windows still open throughout our dinner and until we left (around 7pm). We ordered a mushroom stroganoff and a potato rosti with grilled vegetables. they say this is the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world, which is still open in the original building. it has a very large selection of vegetarian and vegan foods and dresses. they put everything they like on their teller or in a takeout box and then pay by weight. a large plate costs them around 20 francs. the dishes I tried were interesting and delicious. this place is definitiw a must if they are in zürich.
Der Empfang war freundlich und die Reservation hat geklappt. Wir haben das Buffet à discretion gewählt und wurden ein mal Mehr nicht enttäuscht. Die Auswahl war sehr gross und auch die Qualität war ausgezeichnet. Auch dieses Mal konnten wir nicht alles probieren, da die Auswahl einfach riesig ist. Auch die Fruchtsäfte sind ausgezeichnet. the other location is next door and is an expensive buffet with staff that is not knowledgeable or friendly about vegan or vegetarian food. they are easily confused when typing into google maps. this store on the other hand, had a wide selection and was interesting to see all of the vegan meat products.
