A very nice building with a very good ambience. Standing at the entrance we were welcomed and accompanied to the table. A good and manageable menu. My dish, fried liver etc, did not correspond to my ideas and I couldn't eat it. The upper was very busy, wanted to take the dish to the kitchen to correct it. I didn't want to use that because I had a false idea of the court, which had nothing to do with the good preparation. My daughter and her partner were very happy with their fish menu. The superior asked for our wishes several times. All in all, it was a nice evening there. We will definitely visit Lahr and look forward to it.
Also highly recommended for Corona times. We chose the lunch menu for 17.90€ on Sunday. There were oxenbäckchen with host vegetables and potato puree. As an appetizer a pumpkin cream soup and as a dessert a raspberry cream on pear. Very delicious, even if of course the ambience is missing and then it doesn't look so great to garnish when you take it out of the transport container. But the best of the situation, I would say to this and all the good!
The food at Haus Lahr is always great: steaks, carvings and fish are always roasted to the point, the vegetable supplements and salads are nicely crisp. The service is very friendly, the atmosphere cozy. My highlight at Haus Lahr is the Sunday menu. Every Sunday you have the choice between fish and meat. The supplements are very varied, the sauces delicious and the desserts always a delicious surprise.
A small birthday round with historical occasion, Haus Lahr has been there for a long time. Middle birthday party in nice ambience.
