Haystack Cafe - Reserva de mesa

This charming little café is nestled in the industrial area of Wangara and offers delicious Indonesian dishes, along with a variety of other foods and drinks. The service is excellent, and it really took me back to Bali! I thoroughly enjoyed the babi guling, and the soup had a lovely balance of sour and spicy flavors. The bean salad was very refreshing, and the satay dish was a true delight! The only downside is that if you have a baby like I do, you'll need to go to your car to change a diaper, as there are no changing facilities available, although they do provide high chairs for children. I will definitely be returning!

Fantastic little restaurant! As a couple of Indonesian heritage living in the UK, we find this place ideal. My wife enjoyed the Babi Guling while I opted for the bacon and egg. We both loved our dishes! The food is excellent, there's ample seating, quick service, on-site parking, and a super friendly Balinese owner. He mentioned that it gets busy for breakfast on Saturdays, but Sundays are quieter, and even then, you won’t have to wait long. It's definitely worth a visit—much better than the trip to Vic Park for Indonesian food, especially if you're in the Northern suburbs.

Had a nice lunch here at Haystack. The Nasi Goreng was really tasty, little on the smaller side, so not the best for tradies, but still good. Clean and tidy, little confusing because it is actually a Balinese Cafe, to me the name doesn't suit it. The girl that served us did her job, but didn't really go out of her way to make us feel welcome either, which could be improved.

ABSOLUTELY DEVINE!!! We had the traditional indo meals (beef rendang and chicken satay) and i can not fault. it felt like we were back in bali and the staff are beautiful, welcoming, well spoken, happy and willing to help too. All in all, i will be back as often as possible. Reserva una mesa ahora

I visited this restaurant based on a friend's suggestion, and I wasn't disappointed! The food was incredible, and the coffee was excellent as well. It's a popular spot, known for its down-to-earth, genuinely homemade flavors. This place is truly a gem!

Great spot for all breakfast and lunch favourites. Delicious limited special Babi Guling/ Balinese style slow roasted Pork. Great coffee and fast service too! Highly recommend this.
