I recently had the pleasure of dining at Frijoles, a delightful little restaurant I've always wanted to try. The layout is quite unique, as the kitchen separates the dining area into front and back sections (we chose to sit in the back). Our waitress was not only friendly and accommodating but also had a lovely smile. The food was fantastic, especially the Albondigas and Chicken Mole Enchiladas. The chips and salsa were tasty, and we even requested the spicy habanero sauce. Frijoles boasts a full bar featuring margaritas and beer, and as a sweet touch, our waitress presented my wife with a red rose for Mother's Day. I will definitely be returning for more mole enchiladas. I give Frijoles 4.5...
I’m writing an update after not visiting in seven years, and a lot has changed. The front area has been renovated to include bar seating, while there’s still a cozy dining room at the back. The patio has been covered and features new seating. Unfortunately, parking is still quite a hassle. I deducted a star because they removed my favorite pescado ranchero from the menu. However, everything is still as delicious as ever. Prices have increased, but that seems to be the trend everywhere nowadays.
During my first visit to LA, we stopped by this restaurant. It’s easy to miss if you’re not careful, but this cozy spot is bursting with flavor and serves authentic cuisine. Our server was outstanding—he was very informative and helpful with all our questions. This will definitely be our go-to place! The food is absolutely fantastic!
Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, and outstanding service! My family was looking for a place to enjoy tacos, and this restaurant offered safe parking, a clean environment, and a lovely ambiance. The waiter was very friendly, and there was an extensive menu to choose from. The portion sizes were generous and delicious.

We stopped my FIRST time in LA. When you flash? I'll do it. This small place was full of taste and authentic cuisine. Our server was phenomenal. He answered our questions and all. This is our way to Spot! Food is so damn good
Authentic Mexican food served here with friendly service. Classic hole-in-the-wall taste and feel without the high-crime vibe in the area. This will definitely be one of my go-to places when flying into LAX.
I was in the area for a birthday party and arrived a bit early, so I decided to stop by and try this place. I ordered the menudo, and it was good, along with a michelada.
