Heimat - Reservar una mesa

We ate here twice during our stay and the food is very good. Steak prepared as ordered and fries , whic I eat I frequently, were delicious! Schnitzel is very good as well. Prices comparable to other restaurants in Wilderswil and Interlaken. Only two people waiting tables and filling drink orders and they did a fine job. Negative is there are a lot of flies. I think it is just the time of year for flies, but this place had more than others. No window screens and doors open, typical for all restaurants and hotels.

Escape the commercialised tourist town of Interlaken and stay nearby at the Heimat. You get in return the friendliest, most authentic simple Swiss Hotel you can imagine. Their restaurant is excellent so no need to travel at night for a good meal. It's the second time we have stayed here. Its quick and easy to get to the tourist spots from here, but many beautiful walks to be had on the door step. I shall return again soon.

We came here by chance and were very pleased by the amazing food and incredibly friendly service. If you want to feel pampered, just come here and you will not regret it! Generous portions, excellent beer and once again a very warm welcome and service! From the cook who came outside to suggest us where we could park, to the waiters who did a great job in speaking English as we didn’t speak any German.

Wonderful service and staff, excellent food and reasonable prices, away from the Interlaken tourist traps. A fly-strip or something to keep the flies at bay would be good as they do get out of control and distract from the overalll experience.

We visited this restaurant for dinner and the staff was very friendly and spoke fluent English. We ordered the trout and a salad. Both were good. Would visit again.
