After several trips to Siegburg, I started hearing about this place that I just MUST try! As it turned out, it was not too far from my hotel (zum Stern), but I was unable to get a spot, since they were all booked up for the evening! I tried again, and yet again, when I finally could get a seat. And now I know why...The food is delicious, and any of the side dishes are huge by U.S. standards. I ordered a baked potato my first time, and it seemed as big as my size 11 shoe! This is by far my favorite restaurant in Siegburg, and I have had many delicious dinners there. Daag is a delight as Host for the evening, and there is a wonderful warm and friendly atmosphere that greets you there. The house salad has a delicious dressing, and I love the croutons they make. You cannot go wrong with any of the meat choices, and the main feature is that they bring you a very hot stone (about 700 degrees!) on which to cook your meat yourself! Be aware that the smell of this fresh cooking will linger in some of your clothing, especially if you lean over the stone a bit. Rustikal und bürgerlich. Das Fleisch einfach von bester Qualität. Für mich kein Grund für eine Rezension mit fünf Sternen, weil man die Leistung für den Preis auch erwarten darf. Die 5 Sterne gibt es allein dafür, dass die Reste die man mitnehmen möchte am Tisch umgefüllt wird. Man kann sich also sicher sein, dass es eigene Essen ist. + delicious plates, you cook the steak on hot stones by yourself, staffs- Salad, baked or fried potato are not included in the dish price, you have to order them separately. It was a little bit expensive. There are lots of bees and flies flying around you and on your food.

I casually found this restaurant while in Siegburg - it was quite a lucky night because I had the chance to eat a wonderful stake cooked on hot stone in front of me. Would definitely recommend to anyone willing to spend some money on good food and nice and polite service.

Sirloin was really excellent! But the waiter was not able to let me pay with a credit card and at the end did not provide me the change after I paid cash.

I like this Concept... Very friendly waiters and atmosphere. The meet is very good and the salad very fresh mmmmmmhhhhh delicious
