I 'm coming in here from Upstate NY for an event and wanted to have some authentic hot chicken. I saw so many people on here in the reviews say a local recommended this place . Those locals do know a good chicken place. The girl who was taking my order was so friendly and answered any questions I had and checked up on me and how I was doing after I had received my food. Wasn 't a long wait at all between ordering and the food coming out. Do not listen to any of these bad reviews because this place has some of the best if not the best chicken I 've ever had. The chicken was SO perfect. Breading was cooked and had that perfect crunch while maintaining the juiciest and no dryness. The Mac and cheese was amazing too. Came into Nashville from Toronto on the hunt for the best Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and did we ever find it here. Anyone who tells you to go to Hattie B’s or anywhere else has never eaten at Helen’s. Their Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich tastes like it was made by God himself juicy, flavourful and the portions are huge. Look no further for your hunt because Helen’s does everything right. Service and everything was top notch with everything made fresh to order.
I just want to say whoever the lovely black queen at the front is she was amazing. Very polite. Customer service was great! The food was good too of course. But I was just so grateful for her service and how quick she was as well. She communicated when part of my order would be out and also thanked me for waiting patiently. These days good service is hard to find. I appreciate you love.
Went here for lunch with a friend. Got the hot chicken sandwich and some of the Helen hot tenders with Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was amazing, just like home bake Mac and cheese, very cheesy and creamy. The tenders were cooked to perfection. The tenders were crispy on the outside and juicey on the inside. The sauces were also very flavourful. Highly recommend.
