The Alterath in Overath-Marialinden is a cozy little place with charm, which is especially characterized by the super-netted employees. We have been more frequent for food there, which has always tasted superb, especially since the new cook was set there. It is always all freshly cooked and made with love and even if the store is very full, which is often the case lately, the waiting time is always appropriate and the food comes hot and tasty on the table. We'll definitely be back.

ob auf ein schnelles kühles Bier / Limo / Wasser oder zum üppigen Mahl - immer gerne wieder!! Wenn Biergarten und Lokal voller Gäste ist muss die Bedienung ganz schön flitzen. Denn durch die einheimischen Vereine kann man nie vorhersehen was kommt. Feurwehr, Theaterverein Prinzengarde oder Gesangverein - Alle kommen und lassen sichs schmecken.

Der Landgasthof Altenrath besticht durch seine Schlichtheit mit Theke und Eßbereichen. Das Essen ist gutbürgerlich, sehr lecker, deftig und sehr schön angerichtet. Der Service ist gut. Der Sitzbereich in Richtung der Toiletten ist sehr abgeschieden und nicht gemütlich. Also zum Kneipenbesuch sehr schön und Essen kann man auch noch vorzüglich.

in this village there are only two restaurants. I expected to eat only pommes, but found a vegan burger on the menu! They can choose with it regular or sweet potato friries. they called the bakery to confirm that the bakery is vegan and with the cook confirmed that the pesto is vegan. updated by previous review on 2021-06-07

There are only two restaurants in this village. I expected to eat just fries but found a vegan burger on the menu! You can choose regular or sweet potato fries with it. We are a ladies' table and were the first time in the Gasthof Altenrath.What we first noticed was that all the guests and the staff were very friendly one felt at home immediately.The food was very good and nicely made a praise to the kitchen.We will surely come back. R.Fielenbach
