While taking a leisurely walk in the charming village of Helperby, we stumbled upon this delightful establishment that offers a mix of a village shop, deli, and café. The tearoom is a cozy and tastefully decorated space, and they offer a good selection of cooked meals. We opted for tea, coffee, and cake, all of which were excellent. The service was top-notch, and a couple of incidents stood out to us. First, the owner (I assume) suggested adding a wedge of Wensleydale cheese to our fruit cake, a perfect touch for being in Yorkshire. Secondly, as we were leaving, the young girl who had served us bid us a warm farewell and expressed her gratitude for our visit. It was a charming and thoughtful gesture that added to our overall positive experience.
