This may be hit or miss depending on night. We went on a Monday night. Drinks were mixed up and had to be re-ordered. Part of one meal was never brought out as stated yet, a baked potato was brought out with meals that did not belong to anyone. Waited for condiments for the fish and fries. The chopped steak was way over done when asked for rare and was tasteless. Pork chop was swimming in drippings. The catfish and shrimp were EXCELLENT!!! The best we have had in a while! The salad was fresh with good dressings. The waitress was very good. Very confused about a basket of crackers brought out between the drinks and dinner plates. We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for many years. Usually, the food and service are top-notch every other visit, which is about once every 4-6 weeks. However, our recent experience on a Saturday was disappointing. The service was not up to par, which was unusual for us. The hostess also served as our waitress, but after receiving our drinks and food, no one checked on us throughout our meal in the bar area, despite there being few other diners. As a result, my husband had to request the bill upfront. We plan to give this establishment one more chance, as we have enjoyed dining here in the past. Hopefully, the service will improve next time. Update had an amazing server recently that totally made all the difference the world. Food is still whatever but great staff this time!! Tried the burger patty was overcooked (of the frozen variety) but the bun was amazing. Added a star Been here twice now, both regrettably. Service is inconsistent. Place is a dive but not in a fun way. Food is... passable at times. I've had the shrimp and scallops. Generally overcooked but maybe that's by design. Oily, underseasoned. Also tried chicken fried steak and it was perhaps the most horrifying version... stringy, what the meat was is beyond me. The portions were generous, though. Not really sure what else to say. It isn't even cheap, either.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The food was bland and the place was dirty. I would not recommend it at all. Instead, I suggest going to Sealand Seafood, Steak Pho The Boat. I ordered a Snow Crab Cluster and a Fried Seafood Platter to go, but they were not up to par. The crab cluster was dirty and dry. I urge you to try a different restaurant for a better dining experience.

If you're hungry in Hempstead, TX, this is a great place to stop and eat. The food is delicious, particularly the seafood. The appetizers are also worth trying. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is very friendly. The prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend.
