Nestled away from the bustling main street, this cocktail bar provides a cozy ambiance with soft lighting. The cocktails are fairly priced at around $16 each, which is quite reasonable for Los Angeles. Service was a bit inconsistent; although we received water quickly without needing to ask, getting the bartenders' attention to place our order proved to be somewhat difficult. We sat at the bar with our menus closed and tried several times to catch their eye, but it took a while for us to be acknowledged. I could understand if it had been crowded, but there were only us and one other customer. Overall, the experience was enjoyable once we received our drinks.
I would characterize it as a sophisticated dive bar. While it has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and isn’t located on the typical bar and restaurant strip, the cocktail prices remain standard. It's a blend of a local hangout and a convenient spot for those driving down Sunset after an event. With ample seating and a pleasant ambiance, it’s definitely a significant improvement over the bar that used to occupy that location.
Nice little cocktail bar on Sunset at the edge of Echo Park as you head down the hill towards downtown. Great spot for a pre dinner cocktail or as a first or last stop during a night of Echo Park bar hopping. Parking can be tough because it's Sunset but you can usually find a place. They have light bar snacks.
We were not allowed to finish our drinks at 1:55 AM, even though we had only taken a few sips and would have been out by 2. The staff had plenty of clearing up to do, and we weren't obstructing anyone. They could have easily let us finish while they wrapped up the night, but instead, we faced this situation:

Charming and cozy, this dimly lit bar creates an intimate atmosphere that's ideal for a date night. The cocktails are fantastic, and the service is outstanding. I really enjoy the vibe, especially with the high-quality music playing in the background. I'm excited to make this my regular hangout!
Love this spot! It's very chill, super cute, great music with the DJ on Saturday night and honestly the best cocktails I've had in LA. Our group tried at least a dozen different drinks from the specialty menu and they were all incredible and not too pricey, either. Yes, please!
Drove far away to get my last drink, to be exact at 1:20am, only for the security to tell me they had last call a few minutes ago, the place was crowded and there was still people ordering drinks at the bar. Left very disappointed! But great bar to go have a drink!!!
I happend to stumble into this bar as a tourist walking down the street and I couldn't have been happier to do so. The staff were absolutely fantastic, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and the regulars made me want to move out here. Great place.

The drinks are consistently excellent. Andrew creates fantastic cocktails and always tailors them to our tastes. This may be a small, unassuming location, but it’s definitely worth a visit!
The Boulevardier is spot on. It exceeds the natural Negroni by 10 points.
