Popular with local businesses, family groups and couples this friendly and unpretentious restaurant produced the best lunchtime 'menu del dia ' we had during a recent wintry week in Alcorcon a suburban town gifted with many good places to eat it is family owned and run, is hidden away in an obscure little square and known by two names so use both if asking for directions 'Hermanos Santos ' got us there, ' El Fermin ' drew blank looks, but I was told later it could 've gone either way! and the food is simple, plentiful, fresh and full of flavour creamy pasta, grilled langoustines, juiciest steaks, delicious bread...not sophisticated cuisine but honest and great value. They don 't seem to have any trouble filling the place; the busy buzzy atmosphere added to its charm.
We stayed in alcocorn for 4 days and to finish our trip we wanted to visit a “local” restaurant serving local cuisine. And wow this place really went above and beyond! We where served by Rubin and visited on a Wednesday at 8pm Staff extremely friendly and made an incredible amount of effort to cater for our needs. Even if the language barrier was a bit of an obstacle. We came with three children. (7, 4 and 3) even though they had no child menu they adapted the menu especially for them. But what was the food like? Amazing! Not only if high quality but enough to full you up for days! Everybody (8 of us) had something different and all where very happy with our food. Worth the trip to visit. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
We stumbled across this fantastic restaurant. We were looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant for our last night in Madrid. We were served by Ruben, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and made us feel very at ease even though we had the language barrier. Service was excellent. Quick bringing out the food. And the food was delicious. Overall friendly staff and excellent service. Definitely would come again if we come back to Spain.
