We had lunch here since the setting on a hot summer day is very nice. There are big trees and since you are on a kind of fort, you sit above the road. Service is in traditional garb , mind that you have to order...first inside at the counter and pay there. As a recommendation, take the meat. The schnitzel is very good and so are the sausages. Deductions for anything labelled vegetarian. Vegetarians are actually also equipped with taste buds. Dousing a big steamed potatoe with dollops of quark (the herbs were tiny sprinkles of Schnittlauch) does not constitute cooking.

Lovely building with an amazing elevated terrace on a green tree-filled hillside. Staff were welcoming and helpful with the beer selection (good beer, by the way). Fantastic pretzels. I was there for a large conference dinner with a buffet so I can't really comment on...the menu as we didn't actually order. What we did eat was ok I am vegetarian and there wasn't a lot of choice on the buffet, but enough (pasta, mainly). But this is a place to go for atmosphere and beer and you won't go hungry whilst enjoying you visit.
