Hg Bistro - Reservar una mesa

I ordered the Moroccan surf and turf, medium rare steak . My husband ordered a steak as well, ordered rare. Right off the bat we noticed his “rare” steak was medium rare at best medium and my “medium rare” was definitely well done and dry. We decided to brush it off cause we were both starving and it was our anniversary and just wanted to eat. Food wasn’t warm at all. I next cut into my shrimp and ate it. While chewing the first bite I thought hmm, weird texture I took a second bite and realized it was absolutely RAW! Like still grey in the middle raw! Pics are sort of hard to tell as it’s dark in there which is also why I didn’t notice when I first cut into it. We politely mentioned it to our waitress who seemed completely appalled and took it to the chefs and we could hear her say “umm guys this isn’t cooked like at all” she ended up bringing the shrimp back out a short time later and asked me to cut into it to check how cooked it was, STILL RAW! Like raw raw still . And she agreed so she took it back then mentioned to them that I wanted it cooked longer like it was me just being picky. Felt slightly thrown under the bus on that one but whatever. She came back out with the third attempt and it was finally cooked but one was still semi undercooked still and didn’t eat it. We got the bill and to our surprise (not that we expect a hand out) the meal wasn’t discounted or anything. Sadly we left super disappointed and won’t be back.

The food is pretty good as far as flavor, the presentation, especially considering the price, was a travesty. Messing, ugly food, at fine dining prices, not a good match in my opinion. The steak was just laying on top of my sides. SIDES. A better presentation would have helped the review a little bit, but the service was just ok as well. The server didn't listen very well, and we had to repeat everything we said, multiple times. She seemed unhappy to be there...when asked if there are any gluten free desserts, she simply said, no. When looking over the menu, there actually is. It's not much, but it's there.

Neat hole in the wall type place. Very modern vibe with food to match. Served beautifully while still tasting amazing. Staff are very friendly and they have excellent cocktails. Lacks a nice view, but otherwise I'd recommend this.

What a show! It’s hands down the best fine dining Puyallup. Desert come with a fire show as well, made the day for our friend kid, all item is cooked and served properly, we will be back soon.

Great food! Delicious wine!! The only question I kept asking myself was, Why didn 't you come to this place sooner?
