A charming 28 seat restaurant awaits the diner at Hi Bangkok, Tables seat 2 or 4, but can be brought together for larger party's. For someone who like myself finds stairs a problem, everything is on ground level another plus There is a large choice on offer so take your time and set aside a minimum of two hours exploring the delights of Thai cuisine and what a treat awaits you. Its a little off the main Broadway but well worth the effect as the food is exceptional. I personally recommend any fish dish. especially the squid. First time dining in following Covid restrictions. We dined early but was good to see how busy it was. The staff are so friendly and always recommend what to choose. As it is BYO we took our own wine which makes it such a reasonable meal out. Complimetary prawn crackers with a dipping sauce were a nice start to the meal. We then had 3 main dishes and rice which were all delicious especially the special duck with coconut. Easily the tastiest Thai around. Would definitely recommend either eating in or take away.
The restaurant offers delicious food, excellent service, and flavorful dishes. The Green Thai Curry and Pad Thai were particularly enjoyable, and the salmon fillet dish was surprisingly good. The atmosphere is simple and the restaurant is BYO with bright lighting. There is free parking on Rutlish Road after 6:30pm. Corkage fees are £4 per bottle of wine and £1 per bottle of beer as of March 2022.
We normally dine in every couple of months but due to covid have had a couple of takeaway experiences which have been first class. The food is always piping hot, full of flavour and we appreciate the free prawn crackers! It’s a BYOB and you have to book on the weekend. Never disappointed in all the years we have been going. This is a relatively small Thai restaurant on Kingston road. Food was tasty, freshly cooked and well presented. The only negatives is that is came out in bits even eg rice long before the Thai Green curry. Also the waitress got parts of the order wrong even though we ordered by the number rather than the name of the dish.
Friends have been recommending this place for ages, so tonight we got a delivery from them. It was really, really good. Very generous portions and the dishes were delicious. We shall certainly use them again. and when this nonsense is all over, I look forward to visiting.
I had a wonderful experience at a charming restaurant in South Wimbledon! The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. The best part is that you can bring your own alcohol. I tried the amazing flower tea and I would definitely recommend this place!
