Hi-tide - Reservar una mesa

We were looking for traditional fish and chips as good as in our old area (I Fratelli, Stratford E15). Tried a few but nothing came close. Almost gave up.Then I tried Hi-Tide. Wow. Excellent cod. My daughter 's tried a bit and said 'wow that 's really good '. The batter was crispy. The chips lovely. The batter around the sausage was crispy. Nothing was greasy or oily. Don 't do kebabs like the others I tried. That 's a good thing. The others cannot match Hi-Tide. A bit of a wait as they cook to order. It 's clean. There 's a little restaurant which I 'll be trying soon.

I have eaten Hightide for over 30 years. Everything is fresh and prepared from high quality ingredients! The chips are crisp and the frying oil used is clean and the more expensive kind. The fish tastes as good as it would down in Hastings, fresh from a beach launch trawler! Everything is prepared in a traditional English way and the owners/staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Dined in the restaurant earlier and it was a superb experience 5/5. Great food,great hospitality!

The best fish and chips in Upminster. A long-standing family-run business that has been on the highstreet for as long as I can remember. The food is always made fresh, and the taste is not bettered in Upminster. There is also a restaurant should you wish to dine in, I'd recommend booking as seating is a little limited.

I stopped here with my crew mate while I was on our break at work, as I had heard really good reviews of it - wow! it was the best fish chips we ever had. many thanks to the chef who was very generous to us, it was very appreciated. as a living in carer I can not leave my customers at all alone, but she loves fish and chips, so I command from the hi-tide, because not only her eating is extremely good, make sure that it is always hot and ready when I go and collect.

The food was lovely and the staff were attentive and kind. The cod was delicious but the star was the batter. Also,the chips were some of the best. Overall, the fish and chips were just as good as what you’d get on the coast.

First time here, ate in the small restaurant at the back. Food and service was very good, especially the cod which was cooked to order. Batter was perfect. Will definitely go again.

really meaty cad. good size part on chips. delicious mushy bases. a large cod and a large chips exactly right for 2 of us.
