Excellent barbecue place in between NYC and Albany worth driving especially if you are in northern Westchester or Orange county; not pretentious but always busy with excellent food; second time driving 1hr after visiting Bear Mtn Park specifically for this place always got the feast platter but all the food looks really cool. Am sure will be driving again there sooner rather than later. Highly recommended friendly and fast service also on addition to the excellent food
Went for dinner, sat me in the bar area when the restaurant area was not full?No brisket, no sandwich because it's made with the brisket. Portabella burger was just a mushroom grilled? rib tips were nothing special (store bought) ribs were dry, mac and cheese dry, and the Little potatoes were just gross IDK what seasoning but not good. Would not recommend
We ordered the burgers which were very good and the waitress was very nice. Unfortunately we spent the entire meal shooing multiple flies away from our plates. The kitchen door was open and if there were that many flies in the dining area I wonder how many were sitting on the food in the kitchen! It totally ruined my meal. We will not return.
Stopped in while visiting the area. I had a pull pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw. Both were very good, as good as I have had at other good BBQ places. Quiet, no rush and great service . This place had the BEST Buffalo chicken wrap and fries I have ever tasted. If you're looking for great food and a friendly atmosphere, take the chance and stop here.
The ribs were phenomenal with very good unique Bbq sauce …to me these ribs are award winning Very impressed ,I’ll make the 2.5 drive again to get them
Delicious food. Attentive service. Reasonable prices. Outdoor tables are old old old and not cleaned. I'm glad Hickory has been here many years!
