The Hideaway Cafe is truly a hidden gem. I worked in the Verizon building across the street, and even though there is a cafeteria in the building, the Hideaway Cafe was my place of choice. The owners and employees are great people, and they work hard at providing excellent food, and darn good prices and portions. And if you love soups, they make all of them from scratch, and they're all delicious, but their Cream of Tomato soup is addictive, pair it with a Grilled cheese sandwich and you'll think you've gone to Heaven. There are many times I have even brought food to take home for dinner, rather than cook. LOL. Do yourself, and your tastebuds a favor, check out the Hideaway Cafe ASAP.
My experience here was not good. Ana there is very rude. I ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches she forgot to put mayonnaise in the bag. It was their error so I walked there to pick it up. I asked the woman her name and as I was writing it down on a piece of paper she snatched it out of my hand . The reason I wanted her name is because I wanted to make a complaint. This woman is Ana the one who takes the orders. I never been anywhere where an employee has snatched something out of my hand the paper ripped and she also hurt my finger. This place is absolutely disgusting.
Used to love this place but now I’m so disappointed. You can tell they have new owners. The guy that answers the phone never gets my order correct. The taste of the food isn’t bad because I only order breakfast here but the quantity is definitely different. Can anyone say cheap, cheap, cheap! I always order a bacon egg and cheese. Now it is one egg in your sandwich and expect 2 pieces of bacon. The sandwich is mostly bread. The quantity has gotten smaller and the price has gone up. I’m so done with this place.
Great food and friendly staff. I had the banana chocolate chip muffin with hot chocolate for breakfast then later on before leaving ordered the chicken panini. It was so delicious and very filling. Tucked away at the back of the lobby, this deli-style restaurant is a real gem. The staff is incredibly friendly, the portion sizes are generous, and there are endless specials to choose from. The seating area is also very clean. Plus, the prices are unbeatable! You won’t find a cheaper lunch in the area unless you head to Wendy's.
Ordered 3 sandwiches and all were lacking my sandwich tasted like the meat was old.. the man who said his name was Jerman did not want to give me a refund and before Ana could pass him the phone he was saying to her he is not refunding anything... DO NOT ORDER HERE
I've enjoyed breakfast and lunch here every day for the past three weeks, and I haven't been let down! The food and warm hospitality really make you feel at home. The owners are incredibly kind and always manage to brighten my day.
They used to be so good but now they don’t even pick up the phone anymore especially in the morning around 6:30 am. A lady ignores my calls while she’s actually there. They have to work on customer service.
