High Street Fish And Chips

We had a very good experience as always. The halibut tasted fresh and it was quite thick. We like the flavour and texture of the batter, which is not too thick. The french fries are also great, not too greasy and tasty. I really liked the service too, a British waitress, who was friendly and brought our food out promptly. We do not live close to the restaurant, yet we still come here a few times a year. I have tried other fish and chip places in Toronto , but we have not come across others as good as this.

Walking into High Street it really reminded me of another fish and chips place in Etobicoke. It was the exact same layout as McNie’s Fish and Chips and it turns out it’s the same owner! We already knew we were in for a good experience.Lots of parking as it’s in a plaza.Our server was super friendly and so nice.Fish and chips are solid here. Hard to go wrong. Ordered the Haddock and it was great. Will definitely go back.

First time visiting today, I have never visited a restaurant that makes you feel like home like High Street Fish Chips. Sharon and the staff were so welcoming. Paul and the kitchen staff provided a SUPERB haddock (I understand why they call it the Superb Haddock Fillet now). First time, definitely not my last and I was treated like I was a regular. Thank you High Street Fish Chips for a wonderful lunch today.

We found it extremely over priced. Was over 100 for two people including one alcoholic beverage. Not good value for money. Should be 3 not 2.

Fish not distinguishable between different types. All fish resemble small logs. All the same shape. Not as expected.Pork pies? So so.

Lightly batter haddock. Nice large piece. Cute interior and very friendly staff. They sell frozen pies in the front if you like.

My local f&c place, lucky for me they do it right. One fish is more than enough, get two only if you're famished
