Been coming here a few years, mostly takeout. Consistently good food and friendly service. Pizza, burgers, cheeseballs, etc...all good, tried the new roast beef sandwich from the special menu last night, YUM! It can get loud depending on the crowd but never obnoxious (unlike some other places in town I'm sorry to say). You can sit and talk with your wife here, which is what I witnessed last night, couples enjoying their Friday dinner. I'll be back for more, I recommend you give this tavern a try.
Well according to their website they were open early. So we were going to have breakfast. When we got there they said they don't open till 11am. So when we got seated we found out they only serve breakfast on Saturday mornings. All because ya know, these days ya can't keep help cuz nobody wants to work these days. At any rate, this lady bartender was all by herself she did pretty good for the crowd that was there. The food was great even though it wasn't breakfast lol
We ordered two 12 inch Strombolis. The filling good, definitely enough for two people. Our other order was a breaded tenderloin and that person said it was very good. The Stromboli was on a hoagie bun, I'll say it was fresh. Service was good. It was a Wednesday. We were there basically for socialize and our timing was good. Not real busy and the waitress kept the tea and coke coming. We had a good time.
First visit to The Highland Inn. The food was as good as any bar restaurant and the help (minimal) as friendly and reasonably attentive. 10 15% higher than many bar/restaurants in the Evansville area. parking and easy access. This old tavern restaurant that is clean and good. Surrounded by a parking lot that is easy to access. I will try again sometime.

I don't know how many stars I want to rate. Nice place to have food and drive. Waitresses are really nice. Just wish this place stays open later when every gets off of work. I live next door just wish they close couple of hours later so I can walk home happy about it.
Great pizza double top deluxe, not a driving food but I done ok last time I done that I was drunk years ago. Little bit messy but I had a roll of paper towels in the truck. I recommend you try it out sometime
Good food and service. New owner was on site and spoke to us. Nice portions, good menu. The Mile High Club sandwich really was!! lol Mushrooms came with a homemade white sauce that was delicious.
Quick service, excellent food, huge portions, good prices, great ambience. What’s not to like?

Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Fish was good!
