We attended Highways for a friends 80th birthday, they have a wonderful function room there and I cannot remember the two ladies that were attending us for the day but they were wonderful. It was Grand final day and there were large screens everywhere throughout the venue for people who wanted to see the AFL. We were served finger food which was way above the normal. We also stayed that night for dinner and it was great too. A friend ordered Nasi Goreng which was only $22 and it was definately the pick of the bunch, he said it was the best. Very clean and well set out, would definately return.
Took my father there after visiting mum in hospital. Ordered lambs fry and bacon which we both love when we see it on a menu. Wish now we gadnt bothered it was disgusting. The texture of the lambs fry was something i have never experienced, it crumbled. I think, and this is only my guess, that it had been in the freezer way too long and couldnt cope with being defrosted quickly. The staff were good and offered a replacement meal. Went for fried stuff so there was littke risk but i couldnt eat it. Cold chips and the worst attempt at salt and pepper calamari. Please dont go save yourselves.....
came too high because of my partner birthday, as high as I grew up was great. last night I came in, personal and nice, but very awkward, eating was absolutely disgusting a waste of money in my eyes. we ordered only a classic huh snitz and a parma and these 2 meal times could have been a good size for a family of 5 to share. the way to large wastes of food obviously do not eat. Garlic brot was rough $7 for 3 rods brot. restaurant needs help. I am not very happy with him n I will not come back.
A group of us went to meet & eat here every THURS @ 7 for many many months. Even when they had a fire & we all had to det out. Last THURSDAY we returned & wondered why. chicken was over cooked & food not exciting in any way. Obviously our tastes had changed. We bought a Groupon deal $10 each for a Parma chips and salad. Excellent value, tasty meal and more than large enough to fill us. We were very happy with the value and would recommend. Obviously for $10 it is not perfect but It's an excellent deal. My only gripe is that the soft drinks we ordered were obviously watered down.
We have been to Highways several times over the last 2 years and have not been disappointed yet. The menu has a good variety of different cuisines and the meals have always been served promptly and efficiently by the attentive staff, even when it is fairly busy. Reasonably priced it's a nice venue for couples or groups.
We chose this place to meet up with family and friends while in Melbourne, We had been many years ago for a wake (its opposite the Springvale crematorium) and it has improved since then. Nothing spectacular but is ok for an average meal and if you want to play the pokies.
Good mid-priced restaurant with a great menu and good service. We were there with 6 adults on a quiet Monday night so not many people and lacking a bit in atmosphere for daughters birthday celebrations as a result. Good choice of craft beers. We will go again. Reserva una mesa ahora
