We had called an hour ahead to make a reservation, and upon arrival, we were seated right away. However, our disappointment set in when we saw that there was only one server available, a woman who seemed to be in a sour mood. She didn't even ask us if we wanted drinks like Lassi or soft drinks, which made us feel neglected from the outset.
When our thalis finally arrived, one of us requested salt, but the server appeared irritated. Throughout our meal, she maintained this indifferent demeanor, which definitely put a damper on our dining experience.

Fantastic experience! Were warmly welcomed by J upon arrival and were quickly seated. Atmosphere felt like someone’s family room, in the best way possible. Food came out quickly and greatly surpassed our expectations. Everything was fantastic! Especially the samosa chaat and the paneer chilii (this one was incredible). And to close things off, J brings us his wife’s rice pudding dessert which was a perfect end to the meal (not too sweet perfect). Highly recommend this spot. I’ve been dining at this restaurant for many years. The redesign is fantastic—definitely a 10/10. I do miss the days when I could just drop in without anyone else knowing about it, though! The story behind the menu’s creation is really interesting, so be sure to ask the owner about it. He’s great and can often be found at the bar. This was the one restaurant I missed the most after moving away, and returning to find it has grown so much has been truly heartwarming.
Jay is so welcoming you feel like he’s a long friend and you’re just at him and his wife’s home. They obviously really care and put a lot of love into the place. Authentic food, incredible people running the place!! My husband and I were visiting from ATL and were comfortably welcomed here! The food is mind blowing and the staff was friendly and clearly passionate about their craft. Highly recommend!!!
