Himali Gurkha Nepalese Restaurant

Visited this old favourite today, and was not disappointed. Tried some new and some old favourite dishes, and except for the fact that the quality of the vegetarian momos has declined a bit, everything was delicious. Instead of ordering a Thali plate, or mains, we chose to share several small appetiser plates, which is a great way to taste different flavours — and they are indvaried! A nice Barossa Shiraz accompanied the lunch, fairly reasonable priced. Please see photos and comments.

We’ve been dining here for over 5 years, we’ve never had any concerns regarding the service or the quality of the food it is genuinely first class. We dine in this restaurant weekly or at least fortnightly, the ambiance and atmosphere is very friendly, I would advice you to book in advance to avoid disappointment. We love entree, lollipop chicken or monos, dumplings are very nice, mains Himali beef or lamb Best place in Applecross by far. Gordy Lainy

This is the first time that we have been to the HG in several months due to the Coronavirus. It was lovely to go back and to be greeted by the lovely staff (all bar the new girl who was- sadly- just surly). The food, as always, was beautiful. We took two friends who had not been before and they were equally impressed with the food and most of the service.

I don't know why, but we hadn't been here for some time. Revisiting this delightfully quiet restaurant and tasting its marvellous food was a real treat! Definitely have to go back more often, because it's a delight every time we go there!
