Himmelblau - Reservar una mesa

I paid more than EUR for a breakfast consisting of two poached eggs, a single loaf of bread, a small cappuccino, and what had to be the smallest glass of orange juice I have seen in my life. However, it is not the absurdly...small portion that bothers me the most. I could live with a mini glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, or a loaf (or two) of homemade bread. The problem is that it is the cheapest, most generic juice out of a carton and bread from a grocery store. All ingredients look (and taste) so basic and cheap, that you can't help but feel like a fool for paying so much for something you can easily buy yourself in a nearby Spar or Billa for less. Cafe Himmelblau is situated next to the Kutschkermarkt, and promoted as family friendly cafe on social platforms. For us it was a disappointment.The waiting time for ordering the food and serving the coffee was more than I ordered the garden beet breakfast. The chiaseed...yoghurt with forestfuits was ok, however it was served with a small portion of vegetables, and not very lovely arranged. The cafe was very full and as well very noisy. The diaper changing table in the rest room, was very unpleasant and very dusty. For us, it was definitely not family friendly.

Excellent small place for breakfat, lunch or coffee, set in the fun ambience of Vienna's wonderful Kutschker Market. Original and creative menu realtively small choice but what you eat is first-class and furthermore healthy !. And jn all of Vienna there are no...better cakes/pastries all made on the premises and unsurpassed in quality and creativity. Excellent friendly service something quite rare in Vienna, alas but here you will get it!

This is a nice place to sit at Kutschkermarkt with one of the best selections of home made cakes. All of them excellent. Cappuccino is very good too, once in a while served a little on the cold side. Interior is a little too much...on the lovely baby blue mama and papa side, so avoid if you are looking for a indy place like coffee pirates. Franze a few meters up is the better place but has by far lee seating.
