The side dishes were also delicious and traditional, and the wine pairings were spot on. We left our meal choices in the hands of Jason, the owner, and he did not disappoint! The wagyu beef was a standout for me—simply amazing! It’s a must-try for sure! The exterior and interior of the restaurant are fantastic, with a lovely wooden theme that I really appreciated. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the acoustics were excellent; we could comfortably converse as a group of ten without any need to shout. I lived in Seoul for six months a few years ago, and since then I have eaten at a lot of Korean restaurants in Melbourne. Hinoak is by far my favourite! The innovative grill is fantastic, cooking the meat perfectly without the smoke or splatter. The jeon was crispy and a generous size, and the mandu full of flavour. The staff were attentive and supplied us with extra kimchi without us asking! #win! I love the look and the atmosphere. Thanks for a great night, we'll be back soon!

We tend to play it safe with restaurants that deliver in all aspects of a dining. I am very pleased to say that we will add Hinoak to our short list of VSR (Very Special Restaurants) that we like to share with our family and friends. Great place. Food really good quality and clean. Cooked through a modern technique, making the experience and food better.
