As it was our first night and we arrived late a local quick meal was in order. A simple burger and grilled chicken with fries, a glass of beer and small glass of (local) red wine set us back £55+ I wouldn't mind but it wasn't a gourmet burger nor was the wine a grand cru classé, so how they justify their prices is beyond me for average, small portioned meals. Would not recommend or return
to change a little we went to hippopotamus at pessac and I admit to being as conquered, despite the change of the map. We have had a very good time and the team is here to answer any request. I enjoyed benevolence so that my little boy will not miss anything during the meal. a staff availability and a friendliness that gives a smile. My card is correct.
I regularly visit the restaurants of this chain, I find that the dishes offered are rather good, well prepared and in sufficient quantity. The decor is rather original. the price is a little high on dessert drinks. that noon the service was long enough, but the restaurant was well filled. This channel is very good for children and meat lovers.
This is the worst place I have been before, if you choose for a steak, you really can see the Pirineus in Spain through the steak, it’s really tiny. Ate here on the evening of 24th February with my wife. The flank steak was OK (not as good as I have had in the USA) but edible. The profiterole desert is definitely recommended (see photo). The service was very good and our waitress spoke some English which was helpful.
frankly, in a food factory like a hippo, the quality of the service makes all the difference. especially attentive waitress, at all stages of order and service. A real pleasure.
Mussels was good rest of the food average service not good at all we asked for bread never arrived asked for the bill never arrived needed to go to look for someone to pay....
kitchen bof bof, it doesn't break three dough in a duck but it's not bad. overheated, noisy and full of air current. but personal at the top Reserva una mesa ahora
nice hippo, the staff is pleasant and you are always well welcomed. It's still a hippo. but never was disappointed with the dinner.
