coming from linthwaite in huddersfield, but working in halifax and the surrounding areas, this is the best fish and chip shop I have surpassed, I took the woman there after a visit to calderdale hospital on the other day and she said that it was the best fish and chips she had ever had. they will not be disappointed. 5*

I had only the pleasure to eat here once, but wow, what a experience. I've never tasted fish and chips like that. crispy battery, fluffy chips, and absolutely incredible customer service. top 50 in Great Britain? No, hirds is by far number 1. I can honestly say they have won a regular customer!

I was so happy to discover a fish and chip shop that also caters to gluten-free customers. My first visit did not disappoint! The staff were very friendly, and the food was excellent. I will definitely be returning. Thank you, Hirds!
