Not only does the menu go above and beyond the choices that any other fish and chip shop offer for gluten free options but the staff are friendly and pride themselves on their knowledge of gluten free availability as well. It’s such a treat to have a number of options such as gluten free fried halloumi, curry sauce, gravy and loaded fries. The staffs confidence in gluten free offers makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. After a morning of shopping in Halifax, I was in need of a good meal and decided to do a quick search for a place to eat (I have Celiac disease, so I need gluten-free options). I stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant and what a great find it was! The freshly cooked gluten-free fish and chips with peas, and gluten-free vinegar were delicious. The batter was perfect, everything was served piping hot and not greasy at all. On top of that, we received a very friendly welcome and had a nice conversation while we waited briefly for our food. A few weeks ago, we decided to try out this fish and chip shop that was recommended in a Facebook group for gluten-free food options in the UK. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing our meal was! My partner ordered the traditional fish and chips and said it was the best he has ever had. I opted for the gluten-free battered halloumi, chips, mushy peas, and authentic chip shop curry sauce, and it was absolutely delicious! I have been craving it ever since. I was thrilled to discover a local restaurant that caters to both gluten-free and vegetarian diets. The pricing was reasonable for a takeaway treat, and the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
We had just been to a nearby restaurant but left feeling disgusted by the prices and service, so we decided to come here instead. What a wonderful establishment! The staff were friendly and it was clear that this place was popular. The chips were cooked perfectly in oil and delicious. I was impressed by the wide variety of gluten-free options available. The gravy and scraps were amazing. I had a chat with the owner about being coeliac and was thrilled to find a chip shop that fully understands and caters to gluten-free customers.
