Second time to this restaurant. First time was in December and food and cocktails were outstanding. Second time food was very good as well as cost and portion size. Unfortunately, the cocktails let it down immensely. The reason we returned was it is so close to home so it was a great choice. The cocktails were outstanding the first time we had to go again. But this time it was a let down. The cocktails were more like mocktails and obviously the measurements were not adhere to. We left without finishing our second cocktail because we were so disappointed. We will not be returning. They also need to look at the fruit flies situation. Too many flying around while we we eating. A bit of putting.
I have been to some terrible restaurants, but this place is simply awful. The manager, if you can even call him that, had very little enthusiasm, just like the tired decor in this place. The waitresses were also lacking in enthusiasm. I watched as the table next to ours was cleaned after the previous diners left. The waitress picked up the menus from the table and that was it!!! She didn't even wipe the table, let alone sanitize it. The menus were not cleaned either. The staff didn't wash their hands and were touching the tops of the drink glasses. It was a disgusting place. I wouldn't recommend it to my next door neighbor's dog.
The food was nice , however the service was bad, they got our cocktails order wrong and then had the cheek to put it on the bill. When we challenged them the waiter was adamant that we ordered the cocktails, we asked for three strawberry daiquiris and he bought us three non alcoholic Shirley temples . We won’t be going back as they made us feel like we were lying and was trying to rob them out of £15! The audacity of them.
I was extremely let down as we had visited this restaurant many times in the past and always enjoyed the food. However, this time was a disappointment. The dishes lacked flavor and the presentation was lacking. The roast potatoes were actually boiled new potatoes and the kofta was unrecognizable. Booked a table for 10 to celebrate a birthday. Restaurant wasn’t too busy however the service was extremely slow. Staff looked bored and unhappy. Atmosphere was non existent. No baby changing facilities either which is surprising as they have a lot of families visiting. Food was ok when it came. Big shame as the hisar used to be a great place to eat under the previous owners.
I am a regular customer of this lovely Turkish restaurant. I have been there so many times with my friends. It's a very nicely decorated restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. We tasted very delicious food at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly, speedy and efficient. I highly recommend it. I will be visiting Hisar very soon!
The staff at this restaurant are extremely friendly, the food is delicious, the cocktails are fantastic, and the atmosphere is clean and lovely. The portion sizes are huge (I had to take some home in a box), and the lamb dishes are tender and soft. I will definitely be returning.
