The food tastes very fresh and harmonized with the supplements. Prices for meals are super fair and feasible for any wallet. I believe that 8€ for a great witch with blows are very justified. A true Franconian idyll in the middle of the Messianic land between Meissen and Nossen. The owner of the historic restaurant is a real Franke. The original Franconian dishes, most of them with 2 Franconian claws, of course also the classic pork bark with excellent crust, taste all very excellent, many dishes come from animals from their own breeding. And all this at the original prices in Upper France. The beer comes from a small village brewery in Reichold (from the region with the most famous brewery density in the world between Waischenfeld and Aufseß and, of course, also tastes everything else, like the excellent homemade ice cream. The individually designed complex is historically maintained and cozy. The service is cordial, flink and attentive. In summer you can drink beer in the beer garden in front of the beautifully renovated semi-concrete house.
We celebrated a family birthday there on weekends. All our guests were thrilled. The food was excellent, like the good Franconian beer. And of course, in the end, the ice from its own production, which really does not need any other ingredients such as cream or the like. Perhaps the one or other soup would have been good on the menu, on which unfortunately the carving was missed also for the weekend. But everyone tasted it excellent, the hit was of course the real Franconian shepherd. For children and seniors, there were age-appropriate shares. The tables were very well prepared and solemnly covered, the service was excellent, very attentive, flink and friendly. A real secret tip, even if the restaurant's a bit away.
