Hobee's - Reservar una mesa

I had a hankering for Monday brunch at this well-known breakfast spot in Sunnyvale. The parking is limited, but the restaurant has a pleasant diner ambiance. Our server, Tina, was very attentive to my every request and very friendly. I ordered the huevos Benedictos , which is a Benedict with salsa, avocado and tomatoes. I also ordered a side of the hash browns, with guido add on, which was topped with just the right amount of cheese and pesto. For this review, I ordered lemon blueberry pancakes, and every bite was fluffy and delicious. You have the option to get coffee cake instead of hash browns, and from past experience, the coffee cake with butter is to die for. One of my eggs was poached...

The Hobee's chain was a favorite of my late friend Drea. So we decided to honor her by coming here for breakfast. Friendly greeting and we were given a nice big booth table. We decided to have mimosas because, why not? The guava were very tasty! Lots to choose from! I didn't know if I wanted breakfast or lunch! I decided to have the traditional eggs bennie with extra hollandaise and coffee cake. Eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise was good. I did have to wait a while for my coffee cake, but when it came out, it was a hunk bigger than my face! LOL! I just devoured it since it was Drea's favorite. Our server was friendly, and the rest of the staff was great! This is a pretty chill...

3.5 stars. Hobee's Restaurant is located on Ahwanee and Mathilda, close to Hwy 101. There is a Shell Gas Station, Denny's Restaurant, and Motel 6 around them. Good place for breakfast and brunch/lunch. Their coffee cake is delicious (4/5). Firm yet moist, crumbly brown sugar and cinnamon topping. Their famous flavor is usually blueberry, but will have seasonal flavors, like apple, and this month, February, is red velvet! The warm honey butter is decadent on this coffee cake. But, it is just as good without it. The service is friendly and hospitable.

Second time my Hubby and I have visited this establishment. So happy we did! I ordered their June special of Tri-tip eggs Benedict (highly recommend) and my husband got the lemon ricotta pancakes. Both super delicious and hit the spot. Service was great. our Server Maribel was sweet funny and attentive. Can't wait for the next visit.

We have been going to Hobee's for years. Sadly, few are left. My Florentine scramble with coffee cake was great. Their tea is to die for. You can buy it but it isn't the same as it is in the store.
