The worst experience ever! We waited for 30 minutes to be served. The waiter just ingored us and other turists who didn 't speak German. At the same time she was drinking, smoking and having fun with other guys. When I asked her politely if someone...was going to serve us, she said that the restaurant had already closed and just turned away. I asked again what time the restaurant was closed, and she said it was closed just at the time I asked. She was completely drunk by the way. We went to see a manager to clarify the situation. Called in briefly for a hot drink and staff were very friendly and attentive so we decided to pop back later for food - had bacon dumpling in soup and my other half had spinach dumplings in cheese sauce. Absolutely loved mine, very tasty and definitely homemade. Just about had room for homemade cheese curd cake which they brought with cream and vanilla custard, and apple strudel for hubby. We had no problem with the staff, they had a good sense of humour, often asking if we wanted anything else to eat or drink. Very pleasant place to eat lunch and rest the aching ski legs.
I visited this restaurant 3 times during my January trip to Zell-am-See. The restaurant has a good variety of Austrian dishes all cooked well. The manager Oliver was lovely the whole time and over the 3 days i made my way through the extensive schnapps collection.The food is a bit more expensive than some of the other restaurants on the mountain, but the view is great and the management really friendly.
Had a great lunch here last week Home Made Garlic Soup was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately I inadvertently left my mobile phone behind and did not discover its loss until I arrived back in my hotel in Kaprun. No problem. very friendly, charming, typical Austrian experience. not rushed. but eating and service are great and friendly. great view of the opposite. in the did some of the best prospects when surrounding sky areas. If you want to eat quickly, go somewhere else. if they wish to eat and drink warm,... surviving traditional Austrian atmosphere and good food, then they will make this target.
justice for gill after an annoying start on her kartoffel trip, gill was relieved to hand over a second kartoffel. 9 euro for a small potato was unacceptable. After the personal was shot at the beginning of the dissatisfied portion size, the staff could not. have done more to put it right by picking up another small kartoffel.
