In our area, you can't escape the Hoepfner Bräu. In almost all restaurants here the beer is tapped from Karlsruhe Castle. I really prefer Alpirsbacher, especially the 5.9% monastery substance, but can live well with hoepfner. And when we had to do the lunchtime in the middle east of Karlsruhe last Monday, we took the opportunity to finally get to know the picturesque brewhouse and the beer garden. Beerburg There were hardly any alternatives, because all other interesting restaurants nearby had either too (Monday! or only opened in the evening. Burgtor, but when we – wife, niece, dog – wanted to enter the castle through the main entrance, it was closed. However, a friendly Burgfräulein opened...
We were particularly surprised that an extraordinary vegetarian dish is on the menu, namely the swedish salad. the vegetable bag combination was really tasty and prepared there on "alther usual wise" (without maggi and co), also especially kömmem y. krowas
only after 20 min the service caught to push it up our order. Eat came a bit fast, but the drinks had to be asked for another 4 times before they were served after another 20 min. So it was for us first and last time.
the ambiente is very cozy and the food was excellent. a special lob still goes to waiter frank, which not only serves simply, but is still a real waiter old school, making you feel cared for as a hospitable.

beautiful uriger place, typical kitchen with plentiful pastry and excellent beer. the personal is accommodating. the opening times of the kitchen are not quite clear.
very good food! the best good bourgeois restaurant that I know in carlsruhe. tasty beer, 1a cheese and roasted bark liver and above all great service.
