We've been dining at the Hofhütte for quite some time and we prefer it because it's the closest farm to us in Torrance and we enjoy the atmosphere. However, I was disappointed with the food on this visit. I ordered a Rib Eye steak, but when it arrived, it was incredibly thin and didn't resemble a rib eye at all. Although it had a delicate texture, the taste was just okay and not what I had anticipated. I also ordered a baked potato, which is supposed to be available after 4:00 PM. It's been at least 10 years since I last ate at this location. I can't say I missed anything. The server wasn't very friendly and she never came to the table to refill our drinks. When placing our order, rather than offering an option to questions, she quickly said NO. She did the same thing to the next table. It wasn't very clean and there was food under our table. The food didn't taste freshly made almost like a frozen dinner that was heated. I went there looking for comfort food, so I ordered their country fried steak never again. Amazing customer service and amazing comfort food. I was just randomly in the area and was hungry. Saw Huf? Hat and decided to have breakfast before it got full (it was before 9:30 on Saturday morning). I've ordered the steak and egg breakfast, I don't think I'd get anything better from the menu. I wasn't disappointed. The steak was juicy and full of taste and also the eggs. The fruit came in generous proportions and it was freshly cut. The waiter was very attentive and looked after me. Will definitely visit again.

Breakfast for dinner is always fun. Delicious spinach, onion, and mushrooms omelet, add some avocado for a nice finishing touch. The hash browns were a bit on the cool side when they arrived. The outdoor seating is a bit noisy, we asked to be seated in a quieter area as we could not hear the waiter. They have heaters to keep the evening cozy. They do not have a gluten free menu. You are on your own to find something you can eat if you need gluten free.
This place has a lot of character and charm but the food is incredible. I had to stop by for an old-fashioned chocolate cream pie a cup of coffee. They have a traditional counter that you could sit at the place and you can tell that it fills up pretty regularly. Menu is huge and I recommend trying almost everything here. There's a wine and beer selection but the appetizers of you when I'm coming back for!
Atmosphere was very chill and quiet. No long wait. I ordered al slice of carrot cake. It was disgusting. It was old, stale, and tasted like refrigerator. I gave you a second chance to correct from last time. No more chances. I will not be back and will notrecommend.
I had a chicken pot pie with green salad excellent and quite filling. Others had the french dip ? and a pastrami and swiss. They said theirs were good too. Service was very good too.
