The Hohe Buche is a hill-top between Trogen and Bühler, a favourite destination for a short hike or cycling tour, but accessible by car as well. The restaurant has a limited menu of hot and cold local dishes, basic but well-prepared. Don't miss the draught cider - in winter, it is still pretty mild, but by summer, all the sugar has fermented away and it's pretty strong.From the Hohe Buche, you have spectacular views across Lake Constance into Germany to the north, the Alpstein from Hoher Kasten to Säntis in the south, and over the rolling hills of eastern Switzerland to the west. the high beech is a mountain peak between trogen and bühler, a popular destination for a short walk or bike tour, but also accessible by car. the restaurant has a limited menu with hot and cold local decor, but well prepared. Do not miss the catchy in winter, it is still quite mild, but in summer the sugar has fermented and it is quite strong. from the high beech they have a spectacular view over the lake to Germany in the north, the alpine stone from high box to säntis in the south and over the winding hills of eastern Switzerland to the west. in the east you can admire the peaks of the Vorarlberg Mountains in Austria. a clear day, a rewarding goal.
eating was okay, but not wonderful. there were some regular dishes, but nothing special or worth visiting. I was very disappointed that there was no possibility to change the dizzles of our daughter. they said we could get it on the floor if we wanted. I didn't expect anything funny, an Ikea table with a thin matratze would do it. they had only a high chair for small children and there were three babies at the same time.
The food was ok but not wonderful. There were some regular dishes but nothing special or worth the visit. I was extremely disappointed that there was no way for us to change our daughter's diapers. They said that we could it on the floor if we wanted. I didnt expect anything fancy, an Ikea table with a thin mattress would do it. They only hadone high chair for small children and there were three babies at the same time.
