Impeccable food here. Went for Sunday lunch and had the belly pork, with some pigs in blankets on the side. The portions were fantastic and the price was very affordable. The belly pork was beautifully done and full of flavour. The staff were very friendly and accommodating (we were being a tad difficult) and it was a wonderful atmosphere. We sat outside due to it being a very nice day and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I would highly recommend as it was the best Sunday lunch I have had in years.
Had Sunday lunch here with my family whilst struggling with what I actually like whilst being pregnant the service and the quality of the food was outstanding especially the belly pork and the cauliflower cheese only problem is I travelled far and now this Sunday roast is all I can think about would definitely recommend for a nice cheap dinner
Superb service fantastic quality: a very decent size Sunday Roast we had the Lamb also the Pork Belly plus some pigs in blankets. The staff were lovely they’ve just taken over from previous owners we’ll certainly come again when ever we’re in Darlington.
Third attempt at dining. Ordered buttermilk Chicken with garlic sauce. Very tasty and hot.Garlic dip was very Strong but I enjoyed it. My son had parmo with chips.. nothing spectacular the chips were the star of the whole meal Staff amazing x

Went for Sunday lunch with family on father’s to the whole in the wall my wife ad seen good reviews so she thought we would try it, my wife got the belly pork it was delicious me and my daughter got the beef that was also good would recommend
My wife and I have had lunch here several times. The menu is limited and expensive for what is simple food on this occasion. Not sure I would eat here again. £5.30 for a pint of Timothy Taylor’s ale. Pleasant staff though.
We had Sunday lunch here today and was absolutely beautiful! Meat was lovely and tender also plenty of veg and a variety too ! very reasonably priced ! Will definitely be back !
Delicious food and great service. We had a very pleasant and friendly service done by Caio, the ginger guy with glasses Thank you Caio. We'll definitely come back.

Great prices and the food is stunning. The service is fast with a smile on everyone's face, always a happy environment within the pub.
