Holt's Fish Chips - Reserva de mesa

Chips which already tasted like they'd been sitting for a while might have been better if the salt and vinegar had gone on them rather than just on the fish which was unceremoneously chucked on them. The batter on the fish was a bit thick and could have been fried a bit lighter but was tasty. I think this is a decent chippy but just needs to get some basics right. Price is a couple of quid higher than what I've paid elsewhere for same order and received better quality tbh. If I'm in the area and want a chippy dinner I would try elsewhere first. Staff were friendly and very nice to customers.

I have been going here for Years, as it was the best chippy by Far, Went 2 weeks ago for fish, chips curry sauce, Couldn't belive how awful they Tasted! the fish batter tasted off! the chips were not cooked the curry sauce tasted Powdery! Such a shame as I used to love the food from here! Definitely will not be returning

This is by far the best chippy I've been to. Fried Fish? excellent, Chips? Hot and tasty, value for money? yes. They do an amazing fish scone, crispy and nice. Friendly staff, obviously well versed in the fish n chips game and very reasonable prices. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner
