It is obvious with anywhere you go, that there are times the food is amazing but other times not so good and this can be due to busy periods or personal issues. Holy mackeral is superb most of the time, in saying that, i know that when you place the order (if not busy) it will not take any time at all, therefore seeing some reviews saying food was soggy and wet, that most likely is your own fault as if you leave for a while, then like any meal, it gets cold and soggy. If I wanted to eat rubber, I would have stopped by the jetty and gnawed on the shock absorbers. Literally the worse fish I have ever eaten. And the chips? Soggy bottom party. Customer service could have been worse. I'd give that component a 2/5. Laughing at my questions isn't really a positive experience. I guess being 6:30pm on a Friday of school holidays means they were tired after a long day. Finishing at 7pm, they probably wanted to go home. So fair enough - no need to provide a quality experience! Will never return

My wife has coeliac disease and requires a strictly gluten free meal. This establishment used to be noted as specialising in preparing meals for people with coeliac disease, but the current management is not able to offer food prepared in separate fryers which, for a fish and chip shop means GF food could be cross contaminated with flour. Consequently my wife obtained a take away meal from a nearby Thai restaurant and I had fish and chips, which were excellent, and we ate lunch in the park opposite.

Ordered barramundi, chips, calamari rings and potato scallops. Got the Barra grilled and got given 3 pieces and an extra potato scallop. Fish was done great and chips were cooked just right as were the calamari rings. Pricing was also standard. Will definitely go back.
