Holy Spice North Indian Cuisine

I went in to sit down and sample the North Indian food for the first time last evening on my way home from work. I ordered a mild Aloo Gobi with roti. I am pretty sure I was actually saying 'mmmmm' out loud every single mouthful. They brought me a complimentary side dish of a fragrant rice with a smattering of green peas and some delicious seed I didn't recognize in it, which together with the other two items, was an extremely satisfying amount of food. The lady serving was very pleasant and helpful and the food was brought quite quickly. The only down side of this restaurant is that the furniture and flooring are really getting battered. Though this is a new restaurant, there have been others in the establishment previously. But it didn't detract from the deliciousness of what I experienced. I will definitely be back. ~ I noticed they also have a regular buffet. The menu is fairly extensive with a great number of vegetarian dishes.

I visited this restaurant with colleagues. The location is not great but the food and friendly staff made up for all that. There is an extensive Indian menu. I had the Aloo Gobi with butter naan bread. They were both excellent and fresh. My colleagues enjoyed the buffet immensely. We were surprised with a complimentary hot sugary dough ball for dessert. Would definitely go back.

If you are looking for traditional Indian food, look elsewhere! The food is not bad, but it is far from traditional. Can you have Tandoori Chicken, without a Tandoori oven? When we ordered it, it arrived on a sizzler plate! I would say that the food has been Americanized, in other words toned down for the North American pallet!

The buffet was awesome and well stocked and the aromas from all the spices was a treat to the nose. The tastes was amazing and was spiced to perfection. Not to spicy but just right.

A very good restaurant with good atmosphere and quality dishes. Consistently very good food and good service. One of the better places to eat in Thompson.
