Holzwurmstueberl

As part of a Christmas celebration, we were with a group of 15 people for dinner at the Woodwormstüberl in Bebra. The woodwormstüberl is a rustically decorated restaurant with good-bourgeois cuisine, which is exactly adjacent to a children's indoor playground you look through a large glass wall into the hall... It was a nice table prepared for us and we were served friendly and quick. The handmade “Flammkuchen Original” was large, crispy and very tasty. The “Holzwurmkrüstchen” was also beautifully dressed and was praised at our table. Just the right thing for those who don't like big main dishes in the evening. The „Hessische Schmandschnitzel“ was a very large portion with 2 carvings, roasts and salad, which was tastefully really delicious. However, the sauce was distributed over the scavenger as well as the Röstis, so that unfortunately they did not remain crispy long. The selected desserts “baked apple rings” “Vanilleeis-Praline” were also very praised. All in all we had a very nice Christmas party with delicious food in a cozy atmosphere.

There's not much going on in this place on a Sunday night. When I arrived at 19:00, I was the only guest. The service was very accommodating. The food was good. A little specialized in Schnitzel. You also get other dishes. As the only mood brake I found they had only Bitburger when Pils. I'd like to have a regional beer.

The rustic restaurant offers delicious home cooking. The staff is very friendly and you feel welcome here. The food is freshly prepared and is coordinated with its ingredients. The portions are more than sufficient.

Super food serving was very good. Taste was great. Service was good. Would like to come back unfortunately not open daily
